Staying Connected
There’s no “virtual” nature to our connection with God. Our God chooses to connect to us in very physical, earthy ways. Our heads get wet when we’re claimed as God’s children. Jesus pours out his life for us in the nourishment of body and blood, bread and wine. When we are hungry and in need, God feeds us.

God’s Green Thumb
So what God the gardener is doing is planting us in different places, in different situations where we can grow. OR, God is planting people beside us, in our own corners of the world, who have the ability to help us find new life. OR, God is watering us and providing us with enough sunlight – think Baptism and Holy Communion here — so that we’re nourished and encouraged to grow.
Facing the Truth
Is something holding you hostage? Face up to it—face up to Him, Jesus.
Called and Freed to Live!
When the tables are turned and it’s we who want the mercy, we’re going to be glad – no, not glad, ecstatic! – that God chooses to show mercy on those we think deserve it the least. And that fact frees us to find life in our living.
